2320 County Road 139, Town of Ovid

The vacant and condemned property was acquired by the Land Bank in April 2017 after tax foreclosure and sold to Habitat for Humanity in May 2019. Upon acquisition, the Land Bank moved to stabilize the property by replacing the roof and demolishing unsound additions. The Land Bank also had a new well drilled and installed a modern septic system. The property was then completely rehabbed by Seneca County Habitat for Humanity and is now an owner occupied home. The work was supported by a grant from the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).
